Meresiah Aloo Omina – Dada

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our dear mother Meresiah Aloo Omina after a short illness bravely borne.

She was the Loving wife to the late Johana Omina Sunwa. Mother to Phoebe and Prof. Manyonge, Joseph and Florence Omondi, Sarah the late and Fred Waiswa, John Mark and Rachel Owuor,Tabitha and Bishop Elisha Odero, Arthur and Lydia Ochieng.

She was sister to the late Silvanus Ogot, the late Alicia Odupa, the late Herina Nyambogo, the late Loice Kose, the late Jerusha Obudho, Gamaliel Owuor and Jasper Odhiambo. Dada was a pillar in her family and her sacrificial love was extra ordinary.

Mama Meresiah was cherished by her grandchildren Grace and Benard, Pastor David and Rachel, John, Dr. Zackayo, Joy, Denin and Violet, Irene, Darius and Val, Zerrida and Samwel, Faith and Peter, Neema, Keziah, Mercy, Angel, John Aya, Peace, Paul, Light, and her great-grandchildren Nicole, Elliane, Kimberley, Kayla, Nathaniel, Ivy, Kayla B, Liam, Shontelle and Tafari.

The cortege leaves Star Mortuary in Kisumu on Thursday, 8th September for a memorial service at the A.C.K Holy Trinity Church MaIiera Parish at 2.00pm. Thereafter, the burial will take place at the family home in Gem Dudi on Friday, 9th September 2022.
