Milka Wanjiku Wairegi

1918 – 2022

It is with great sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to Glory of Milka Wanjiku Wairegi on 15th November 2022.

Daughter to the late Susan Wamuyu and the late Machira Kimotho.

Milka Wanjiku was the beloved wife of the late Wairegi Gicheru of Njoguini Village, Gathumbi, Karatina, Machira Sub-County, Nyeri.

Sister to Phylis Mumbi, Paul Mwai, Elizabeth Gathoni, Samuel Macharia and Margaret Wambura.

Treasured mother to Wachira Wairegi and Marion Wachira; the late Wamuyu Mwangi and the late Samuel Mwangi; Karigitho Wairegi and Njoki Karigitho; Konyu Gathagu and Ephraim Gathagu; Isaac Wahome and Grace Wahome; Murakaru Wairegi and Sylvia Murakaru; the late Florence Mumbi; Wanjira Wairegi and Abram Gichanga. Aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother to many.

Family, relatives and friends are meeting daily at her home in Njoguini Village, for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Jamii Hospital Mortuary on Wednesday, 23rd November 2022 at 9:00am and proceeds to PCEA Ichuga Church for the final service. She will be laid to rest thereafter at her home in Njoguini.
