It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that the Getiro family announce the passing on of Mama Monica Nyaboe Omariba on 5th April 2023, of Keginga Village (Mecheo), Nyansiongo Nyamira County.

Beloved Wife to Mzee James Omariba ‘Getiro’ Ongaro. Co-wife to Tabitha Gesare and Joyce Moraa.

Daughter of the late Mong’are Kibegwa and the late Allexina Bosibori. Sister to Judson Mongare, the late David Onduko, the late Charles Barake and the late Yunuke Nyanduko.

Mother to Agnes Nyambati, the late Charles Ongaro, Duke Mogaka (Walter Reed Project), Espon Omariba, Tom Mong’are, Flora Mwakisingo (Bid Apartments Nairobi), Isabela Nyaribo (RVTTI), Gladys Master, Shadrack Nyang’au, Geofrey Orina and Everlyn Kenyanya. Step-mother to, Hellen Orina, the late Bob, Irene and Wilkister, Erick, Diana, Moses, Tim, Edwin,Violet (USA) and Ruben.

Sister-in-law to the late Biria, Rusalia, Joyce, Anna, Susana, the late Nyansarora, & Momanyi Magata, Stephen Kiage, the late Thomas Momanyi, the late Florence Mong’ina, Haron, the late Marube, Moraa,Temu, Sarah, Kemunto and Nyang’au.

Mother-in-law to the late Nyambati, the late Florence, Anna, Evehne, Gaki, Mwakisingo, Joash, Master, Ednah, Nyamusi, Richard, Orina, Elizabeth, Happiness, Judith, Sarah, Janet., and Steve.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at Norwich Towers – Nairobi, 4th Floor, Room No. 6. from 4.30pm and at her home in Keginga Village (Mecheo).

The main funds raising will be held on 18th April, 2023 at the Professional Center, Nairobi.

The cortege leaves KPCC Mortuary (KNH) on Thursday 20th April, 2023 at 7.30am for burial at her home Keginga (Mecheo), Nyansiongo, Borabu. Nyamira County on Friday 21st April, 2023.
