Monica Waithera Nganda (Mama Gatei)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Monica Waithera Nganda (Mama Gatei) of Rumwe Farm Nioro that occurred on 2nd Aug, 2020.

Wife of the late Joseph Nganda Gatei. Mother of Gatei wa Neganda, Gatonye wa Nganda (Gat’s Furniture Njoro), the late Dr. Michael Munene Nganda and Benson Mbugua Nganda (SBM Bank Ongata Rongai). Mother in law of Wangeci Gatei, Jane Karungari Gatonye and Leah Wamaitha Mbugua. Sister of the late the late Mumbi Mbugua, Mbugua Gatonye (Naivasha), Rosemary Wamaitha Gatonye (Ongata Rongai), Nyambura Kahoro (Nanyuki) and Lawyer Waweru Gatonye (Waweru Gatonye & Co. Advocates Nrb). Grandmother of Nganda Gatei, Waithera Gatei, Waithera Gatonye, Wamaitha Gatonye, Neganda Gatonye, Nganda Mbugua, Mbugua Nganda and Ndirangu Mbugua.

Funeral arrangements are being done daily at her son’s home (Gatonye) at Jirani Estate Njoro and Ongata Rongai Laiser Hill from 5pm.

The cortege leaves War Memorial Hospital Mortuary Nakuru on Monday 10th August, 2020 at 8.00am for a funeral service as from 10.00am at her home in Rumwe Farm Njoro. The body will be laid to rest thereafter on the same place.
