We regret to announce the passing on of Monica Wangu Wamwere of Engoshura Nakuru.
Daughter of the late Mungura and Kangere. Wife of the late Joseph Wamwere Kuria.
Mother of Hon. Koigi Wamwere, Kuria Wamwere, Mwihaki Maigwa, Maria Kamau, Gabriel Wamwere, Jjohana Wamwere and Wambui Wamwere (Norway).
In-law of Nduta Koigi, Maigwa, the late Kamau, Mary Kuria, Jane Kiarie and Grace Njoroge.
Sister of Mwalimu Kariuki Mungura and Irene WVangari of Kairi Thika.
Grandmother of Wamwere Koigi (Norway), Mbugua Maigwa, Eunice Kahuho, Wairimu Kiragu, Monicah Kamau, Ragui Koigi (Norway), Wangu Wambui (Nopway), Kuria Koigi (Norway), Caro Kamau (Canada) and many others. She was great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother to many.
Friends and family are meeting daily at her home in Engoshura – Nakuru, from 5 00pm.
The cortege will leave Umash Funeral Home – Nakuru on 10th November 2023 at 8.00am. Thereafter, the requiem mass will be held at St. Monicah Catholic – Section 58. Followed by the burial service at her Engoshura home
Your role in the Kenyan War for Independence will forever be celebrated.
You have left behind a profound and lasting legacy. Rest in peace.
