It is with deep sorrow & humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Romanus Philip Onyango, formerly of University of Nairobi which occurred on 22/10/2019.

Loving husband of the late Rebecca Emmy Onyango, the late Mary Onyango & Benta Akinyi Onyango. Son of the late Patrice & Maria Orwa of Kamasengre East Sub Location, Rusinga East Location Homa Bay County. Son In -Law of the late Josiah & late Grace Ongeche Ahere of Alego Kaluo, Siaya County, the late Jotham & Teresia Odessy of Gem Siaya County, The late Hesbon & Risper Orwa of Nyakach Kabodho Kisumu County. Loving father of Rosemary (DP’S OFFICE),Tina (ABB), Frank, Joseph, Julie (UAE) , Antony, Patrick, the late Catherine (formerly of Karatina University), Grace, Jacqueline, Tracy & Meshack Onyango.

Father in-law of Sospeter Nyambok of Nyakach, Hon. John Mbadi, M.P Suba District & Tashi Olwande of Gem. Grandfather of the late Ian, Eugene, Alvine, Oscar, Benji, Sheila, Max, Audrey & George, Great Grandpa of Tashlee, Crystal, Yasin, Zola, Jabari & Efran. Uncle of many nephews & nieces. Brother of George Ogolla, Francis Ogutu, Joseph Oyuko, John Odero, late Teresia & Phlister. Brother in law of Christine Bondo & Joy Oyuyo, late Naboth Ahere, Mwalimu Ernest Ahere, Hesbon Ahere, Jim Ahere, Nereah Odera, Rose Orondo.

Family & Friends are meeting daily at his home in Kamasengre village for prayers. Fund raising is on 31/10/2019 to offset funeral expenses at the Kenya Polytechnic from 5.00PM.

The cortege leaves Med 24 mortuary (Kirindo) on 7TH November 2019 for an overnight stay at his home. Funeral service and burial will take place on Friday 8TH November 2019 at Kamasengre East Sub Location, Rusinga East, Homa Bay County beginning 10.00A.M.
