Mrs. Marya Elizabeth Adjibodou
It is with deep sorrow, that we announce the passing on of Marya Elizabeth Adjibodou, Principal Clerk Assistant I in the Directorate of Legislative and Procedural Services in the Senate, on 6d 2023.
Marya was the cherished daughter of the former Vice President of Kenya H.E. Hon. Dr.A.A Moody Awori and Rose Awori.
Wife to Michel Adjibodou of Benin. Mother to Folasade and Adebayo Adjibodou.
Sister to Patricia, Veronica Samira, Jeremy, the late Joseph and Patrick.
Daughter-in-law to the late Mery Diadhiou Adjibodou and the late Damien Houssou Adjibodou Sister-in-law of Alice Rita Adjibodou Dekougbonto, Cyriaque Jerome Adjibodou, Folake Akakpo, the late Elizabeth Adjibodou Balla, Mercy, Florence, Rachel, Jonna, the late Samuel Magloire Adjibodou, the late Cheikh Omar Boku and Albert Balla.
She was a niece to the Aworis- Peris, Joshua, Wycliffe, Rhoda, Hannington,Winnifred, Margaret, Nelson, Ernest, Aggrey, Grace, Mary, Christine, Henry,Willis, Naomi, amongst others.
She was a cousin to the Aworis, Ouyas, Oderas, Opendas,Wakhungus, Okelos, Hayangas, amongst others.
She was the beloved aunt to Marlene, Pamela, Rico, Alexi, Bignon, Flora, Enzo, Francois-Xavier, Martha, Mary, Michou, Emmanuella, Ayomiku, Rosie, Moody, Joyce, Nzioki, Aisha, Mourad, Rose K, Jasmine, amongst others.
Family and friends are meeting for prayers at No. 8, Kabarsiran Gardens, Muthangari – Nairobi, on Sunday 11th, Monday 12th and Tuesday 13th June, 2023 from 4.00pm.
There will be a Requiem Mass at Consolata Shrine – Westlands on Wednesday 14th June, 2023 at 11.00am.
The burial will take place on Friday 16th June, 2023 at the family home in Gulumwoyo, Funyula, Samia, Busia County from 9.00am.
Marya was a beacon of strength, love, humour and resilience, and her departure has left an irreplaceable void in our lives.
May Her Soul Rest in Eternal Peace.
