Mrs. Peres Awuor Ochola

It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce death of Mrs. Peres Awuor Ochola which occurred in Canada on 11/5/2023.

She was the loving wife of Phelix Ogola Ochola, mother to Brenda Ochola, Cyril Ochola and Patricia Ochola, mother in law to Dr. George Kapiyo and Dymphina Bisieri, grandmother to Johnace and Hawi.

She was daughter of late Japuonj Wilson Ayodo Ogutu and late Mama Patricia Muga of Uyoma Kagwa sub location, Siaya County. She was sister to Margaret Achieng Oduya [Sweden], Benson Okumu (Boma Surveys Ltd), Caroline Atieno [Sweden], Hesbon Ogutu [USA], Sospeter Ooko, Caroline Achieng, Kevin Okelo and the late Maurine Akoth.

First cousin to Dr. Eunice Akinyi Oyoo, Dr. Caren Anyango [Sweden], Askenas Omondi Wanjare, Dan Odhiambo Mcodiyo [Japan], Eric Ayany, James Omondi and others.

Sister in law to the late George Oduya Nyabwa, Benter Akoth, Selesa Ogutu, late Phoebe Orende, late Erastus Ombok Ochola, late Ogola Ochola, late Roselyne Mary Dolo, late Jacktone Obiero Ochola, late Leah Ayieko Ochola, Wilson Ogada Ochola and Grace Odeny.

Co-sister to late Rose Okola Ombok, Martha Obiero and Christine Ogada. Aunty and friend to many.

Funeral arrangements are underway.

There will be funeral fundraiser on Friday, 26/5/2023 at All Saints Cathedral Nairobi starting from 5.00pm.

Burial will take place on 3/6/2023 at her home in Kisumu Nyahera, Kombok.
