It is with profound sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mrs Rosaline Wangechi Thuo, which occurred on Thursday, 22nd January 2026, at Outspan Teaching and Referral Hospital
Rosaline was the beloved wife of Dr. Stephen NjugunaThuo. She was a loving mother of Michelle Njeri and Jackson Thuo, and a cherished mother-in-law of Anthony Kuria Waiguru.
She was the beloved daughter of the late George Kibicho Njaga and the late Lucy Waniiku Kibicho of Ngoe Farm, Kiriaini, Kiru Ward, Mathioya Sub-county, Murang’a County. She was sister of the late Catherine Nyambura, Fraciah Gathoni, Nancy Njoki, the late Edward Munene, Eunice Njeri, Susan Wambui, Charity Muchugu and Jeddah Wangui Daughter-in-law of the late Jackson Thuo and the late Gladys Njeri.
She was sister-in-law of the late Justus Kariuki, the late Charles Mathenge, the late Edmund Mwangi, the late Monica Njeri. Justus Muruthi, Boniface Irungu, Festus Mwangi, the late Jorum Mugwe, the late Penina Kabura, Miriam Nduta, the late John Kamau WaKiongo, PhyIis Wambui, Jason Wokabi. Lucy Kaari, Clement Gathumbi, the late Lilian Wairimu, the late Esther Wambui, Hezekiah Munge. and Alice Waniiku. A beloved aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother to many.
Rosaline was a valued member of G-8 Nyeri Women Group, Wonderful 6 Nyeri Women Group, Golden Pillars of Nyeri Club, The Diamond Galz, Good Neighbourhood and many more She was also a devoted member of PCEA Nyarnachaki Parish and was loved by all.
Family and friends are meeting daily at the family home in Classic, Gethiniiro, Nyeri, at 5:00 pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.
The funeral procession will leave Nyeri Funeral Horne – Outspan on Friday, 30th January 2026. at 9:00 am for a service at PCEA Nyamachalo Parish, Nyeri, at 10.00am, thereafter proceeding to the family home in Classic, Githinjiro, Nyeri for burial.
