It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Sarah Njeri Geteria of Gitituri (Mwene Ndega), Runyenjes, Embu County.
She was the beloved wife of the late Rowland Njeru Geteria and mother of Nyaga (late) and Muthanje, Benjamin Wamugunda, Prof. Ciarunji Chesaina and Elijah, Mundia and Prof. Nyokabi & Wanjuki, Alvin Ndwiga and Charity Njambi, Lizzie Wangui and Wangethi, Dorothy, Musa and Wacera (late) & Wanjiru, Justice Murugi Mugo and John (late), Namu (late) and Nyambura, Gitari (late), Wambui (Tata) and Eng. Peter Schoettle (late), Kivuti (late) and Wambui.
Grandma of Mwangi (late) Njeri, Kariuki, Muthoni & Esther Nyaga, Njeri & Njeru Wamugunda; Kimuluon, Kaptuiya, Chebet & Rotok Chesaina; Gitonga, Mugane, Mumbi & Wanjiku Mundia; Njeri & Njeru Ndwiga; Mwangi, Njeru & Thuita Wangethi; Munene & Njeri Dorothy; Njeru, Sarah, Gachoya & Helen Musa; Muthoni, Njuguna & Njeru Mugo; Maurine & Muturi Namu; Esther Gitari, Sarah & Sandra Schoettle; and Getesh & Njeri Kivuti, as well as great grandma to many.
She was a sister to Grace Wambui and Susana Mwosa and a doting auntie to many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are meeting for prayers at All Saints Cathedral from 5.00pm on Thursday March 31 and Friday 1st April 2022, and also daily at her Home (Gitituri).
There will be a memorial service at Alvin’s residence, Membley, on Sunday, April 3rd April 2022 from 3.00 pm.
The cortege will leave KU Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, April 4th 2022 at 7.30 am.
Funeral service will be at ACK All Saints Church, Gichiche, at 11.00 am followed burial at her Gitituri home.
Mami has fought a good fight, finished the race and kept the faith.
