The Kidenda and Osano family regret to announce the death of Mama Yukabeth Obonyo Kidenda.

Mrs Kidenda was the daughter of the late Sargent Osano Njoga and Anna Odiwa of Karachuonyo, Karabondi, Homa Bay County.

She was the wife of the late Mzee John Hesbon Ongalo Kidenda of Oyani Maasai and mother to: George & Lily Kidenda, Meshack & Mary Claire Kidenda, Monica & Philip Opiyo, Chris & Clare Kidenda, Esther & Arthur Ombura, Tom & June Kidenda, Fanuel & Emmy Kidenda and Peter & Caroline Ongalo.

She was sister-in-law to Jacton Adera Auma, Peter Obanda Kidenda, Walter Odundo Kidenda and Sungu of Uyoma Kokwiri and an aunt to their offspring.

Grandmother and foster Grandmother to: John & Chelsea, Elisha & Miza, Yukabeth & George, Ian & Cheryl, Abba, George Jr., Rachel, Gideon & Yvonne, Sheila & Simon, Beth, Nick & Blaice, Carol & Robert, Elsie, Nick & Angeline, Rachel, Eucabeth, Cecil, Beth, Ben, Bailey, Bethany, Jahera, Jahawi and John.

Mama left behind great-grandkids: Omi, Shack, Nomusa, Andrew, Marya, Sophia, and Yara.

Mrs Kidenda was a sister to her only surviving sibling Damaris Odek, and the late: Dorcas Oguk, Eunia Osanga, Wilkister Ogwang’, Aska Aseno, Stella Walala, Flora Oyaro, Samuel and Adoko Osano, aunt to the Opars, Oguk, Osanga, Ogwang’, Walala, Aseno, Odek, and Oyaro among others.

She was in-laws (Nyawana) with the families of: Pastor Arunga, Mzee Obath, Pastor Opiyo, Lay Canon Onyango, Mzee Ombura, Hon. Gumo, and Prof. Mukhebi.

A fundraiser will take place at the old sanctuary of Nairobi Central SDA Church (Maxwell) at 5:00 PM on Monday, 11th April, 2022.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, 13th April, 2022 at Lavington Seventh Day Adventist Church, Nairobi.

Burial will be at the family home on Friday, 15th April at Tie Liech Farm, Oyani Maasai, Arambe Sub-Location, Uriri Sub-County, Migori County.

The home is adjacent to Tie Liech SDA Church.

We loved Mummy and accept that God has allowed her to rest. Nyakogembo will forever be in our hearts.
