8th October, 1971 – 28th June, 2023
Ms. Maureen Akoth Mugele of KeNHA was called to eternal rest on 28th June 2023, at the Nairobi Hospital, following a long illness gallantly fought with grace.
Maureen is lovingly remembered by her husband Jotham Kilimo Mawalla, daughter Mary Brenda Mkang’ombe Kilimo and granddaughter Talani.
She is the beloved daughter of the late Jacob Mugele, the late Elizabeth Mugele and Clarice Odero of Mahero, Alego Kaugagi.
Daughter in law to the late Rodgers Mawallah and Mary Mkang’ombe of Wusi, Chawia, Taita.
She will be dearly missed by her siblings Maurice Mugele, Celestine Onyango, Michael Mugele, Sophia Oloo, Consolata Matibe and Oscar Mugele, their families, and the families of her siblings who predeceased her namely Rose Osero, George Oduor, and James Otieno, to whom she was a special auntie, grandaunt,
Sister-in-law to the late John, Seine, Joyce, the late Liza, the late Dr. Richard, Anne, Leonard, Paul, Khasungu, Praxedes, Patrick and Eunice, Abdulrahim and Nana, Vicky and the late Mayanja, Phydiliah and Patrick, the late Clara and the late Martin, Timothy, Benson and Milkah, Arnold and Carol, and Esther and Oliver.
Friends and relatives are meeting at 5.00pm on Monday 3rti. and Tuesday -1th July, 2023 at the All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi.
A fundraiser will be held at the same venue on Wednesday, 5th July 2023 at 5.00pm.
Maureen’s funeral service will be held at 9:30am on Saturday, 8th July 2023 at St. Lukes ACK Church, opposite Kenyatta Market, followed by burial at the Langata Cemetery Nairobi at 12.00pm on the same day.
Maureen now rejoices eternally at the feet of Jesus, the most high place. She loved, was loved deeply and is already dearly missed. Rest well Maureen.
