Mwalimu Alfred Macho

1937 – 2022

It is with much grief and sorrow that we announce the death of Mwalimu Alfred Mocho of Mtoni Village, Matunda.

He leaves behind his wife Roseline Namalwa and children; Jane Nasambu Okoth, Fredrick Nyongesa, Phylis Osundwa, Linet Mocho, Silas Mocho ,Wensiaus Juma, Caroline Mocho, Dennis Mukhwana, Edward Mulongo and Frankline Khisa. He was loving grandfather of 37 and one (1) great-grandchild.

Son of the late Meshack Mocha and the late Robai Namwacha of Mukuyuni village, Bungoma. Son-in-law of the late Veronica Nanjala and the late John Mamuli.

Brother of the late Reba Satia, the late Tom Wangili, the late Rosemary Chetambe, the late Gabriel Mocha, Leonorah Wanyama, Morris Mocho and John Paul Wangilla.

Brother-in-law of James Mamuli, the late Bishop Cleophas Mamuli, Rose Topila, the late Clement Mamuli, the late Francis Mamuli, William Mamuli, the late Dismas Mamuli and the late Alex Mamuli. He was also brother-in-law of Zipporah Wangili and Margaret Wangilla among others.

Father- in-law of Francis Okoth, the late Eunice Nyongesa, Allan Osundwa, Norah Masinde, Valerie Juma, Gladys Mukhwana, the late Caroline Mulongo and Nancy Khisa.

There will be a harambee at his home tomorrow starting at 2.00pm.

The funeral mass and burial will be held on Tuesday, 27th December, 2022 at his home, Mtoni Village, Matunda, Kakamega County.
