Mama Clementina Otieno

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mwalimu Clementina Otieno on May 4th 2023, after a long battle with cancer.

She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Gaudencia Lubalo.

She was the beloved wife of the late Elisha Apollo Otieno, formerly of the Nairobi City Council.

Mama Clementina was a devoted mother to the late Noella and John Majonjo, John of Nairobi Water and Joyce Otieno, the late Evelyn, Francis of Dimension Data and Julie Onyango, Catherine and Tony Mubinya, Stella of Spice and Gold Caterers and the late Jack Mtula, Peter and Izumi Oduor, Pauline and Bernard Odhiambo, Mercy and Clive Wells and Christopher of AWWDA and Alice Ochieng.

She was also a loving sister to the late Maria, the late Leonard, the late Raphael and Agnes Oduor.

She was a cherished sister-in-law to the late Eudora Olouch, Jane Ogolla. She was sister-in-law to the late Hellen, the late Suntuke, the late Grace, the late Dr. Meshack, the late Alice, the late Francis and Doris Ochieng.

Mama Clementina was also a cherished grandmother and great grandmother to many.

Funeral arrangements for Mama Clementina are currently being held at her residence in Harambee Estate.

There will be a major funds drive on Tuesday 16th May, 2023 at All saints Cathedral Hall from 5.30pm.

A requiem mass will be held on Thursday 18th May, 2023 at St. Joseph Catholic Church – Jericho, from 11.00am.

The cortege will leave Umash funeral home on Friday 19th May, 2023 for burial at her home in Siaya County, Bar Agulu, next to Agage Primary School on 20th May, 2023.
