It is with deep sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing to glory of Mwalimu James Mwangi Gitau (Wa Gitau) on 19th June 2021 after a long Illness bravely borne.

Son of the late Peter and late Grace Gitau. Husband to the late Nancy Nyambura and Loise Wairimu. Brother to the late Nahashon Njuguna, the late Lucia Wairimu and Winnie Njoki Ndungu. Loving father to Anthony and Bernadette Maina (Sunland Insurance Brokers), Boniface and Joyce Kimemia (USA), Jamleck and Milka Thuo (Laventa Wood products), Grace Waithira (USA), Robert and Nelius Njuguna (Nrb), Joyce and Joseph Muhingo (Pago Airways), Stephen (Encapsulated EA) and Roseline Ndungu (UNDP), Caroline (Kenya Power) and Henry Kareigi (Safaricom), Peter and Ann Gitau, Kevin Waweru, Dennis Njuguna and Benson Nduati (All of Gachocho Village). Cousin, Uncle, Grandfather, Mentor and Friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting for burial preparations at his home in Gathama village, Gachocho Sub-location, Murang’a County, Holy Family Basilica Nairobi and simultaneously at the various residences of his children daily from 4:30pm.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home Kabati on Tuesday the 29th June 2021, at 8:00am for the burial service at PCEA Kamunganga Church followed by interment at his farm in Gathama village, Gachocho Sub-location, Murang’a County.
