It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mwalimu Pius Kimutai Tanui of Kamaua Village, Kimoning Location, Moiben Sub-County, Uasin Gishu County, which occurred on 4th June, 2022 at Mediheal Hospital Eldoret.

Son of Mr. Edward Kiptanui Chemurmet and the late Veronica Tapsimei Tarkok Kiptanui.

Loving Husband to Elizabeth Kipyego Kimutai. Father to Ken Kipkosgei, Cornelius Kibet, Ronald Kangogo, Justus Kiptoo and Robinson Kipruto.

Brother of the late Michael, Sarah, Joel, Andrew and Justus. Brother-in-law to Anna, Wilson, Alice, Diana and Monica.

Father-in-law to Alice, Grace, Joan, Adelide and Zainabu. Grandfather to Kyle, Phil, Cheptoo, Kigen, Kipkorir, Liam, Kiprotich, Kipkemboi, Ryan, Kiprop, Hazel, Breana, Gianna, Liana, Kiprono and Kiptum.

Family, relatives and friends are meeting daily from 4:00pm at his home, Kamaua Village for prayers and funeral arrangements.

There will be a fundraising on Sunday, 12th June, 2022 at his home to offset medical and funeral expenses.

The cortege leaves Racecourse Hospital Mortuary for a requiem mass at Mutei Catholic Church on Monday, 13th June, 2022 at 3:00pm. Burial will take place on Tuesday, 14th June, 2022 at his Home, Kamau Village starting from 10:00am.
