It is with profound sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mwalimu Stephen Maguta Muiruri after a long illness bravely borne. Director of Greenvale Academy and former Chairman of Kangari Catholic Parish.

Loving husband of Marcilline Wambui Maguta. A loving Son of the late Henry Muiruri and the late Lydiah Njoki of Mariira Village. Son-in-law of the late Gerald Wainaina and Esther Wamukore of Gachocho Village. Adoring daddy of the late Kennedy Wainaina Maguta, Esther Maguta, Lydiah Njoki Nyingi, Cecilia Maguta, Winfred Njeri Maguta, Elizabeth Maguta – Gacheru and Anne Wairimu Nge’the. Devoted Father-in-law of Hon. Tiras Nyingi Ngahu, Peter Gacheru and Ephantus Kimemia. Adoring Grandfather of Collins, Stacy, Melsa, Lesley, Guytresor, Maguta Muiruri Trevor, Wesley and Tamara. Brother of Esther Wangari, the late Mwalimu Job P Muiruri and Benard Kimuhu. Brother-in-law of the late John Mwangi (Kau), the late Rosemary Mwangi, Gilbert Waweru and the late Kezia Wairimu. Uncle of many.

Family, relatives and friends are meeting daily at Roasters Inn, The Luke Hotel, Scorpio Hall Ground Floor off Thika Road and his home at Gacharage Location, Kigumo Sub-County, Murang’a County from 18/03/2019 to Friday 22/03/2019 from 6:00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves K.U. Funeral Home, on Saturday, 23rd March, 2019 at 7:00am.The funeral service will be held at Muiria Primary School Ground in Kigumo Sub-County at 10.00am. Thereafter Mwalimu Maguta will be laid to rest at his farm, Ngorogocho Village, Gacharage location, Kigumo Sub-county, Murang’a County.
