It is with profound sadness and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Mzee Aristariko Maranga Mongeri (Rwoti) of Masimba-Ramacha, Nyaribari Masaba, Kisii Central which occurred on 14th August, 2022.

Son to the late Mzee Mongeri Osoro & Mama Nyanchama Mongeri. Loving husband to Mama Jemimah Bonareri Maranga. Son-in-law to the late Mzee Manwa and Mama Esther. Father to Joseph Maranga (Formerly Ministry of Fisheries), Martha Mangaa, the late Stanely Maranga (Formerly Egerton), the late George Maranga (Formerly Egerton), Vane Machogu (Ministry of Finance ), Prof Kennedy Maranga (USA), Bernard Omwoyo, Winnie Maranga, Walter Magati (UBA) and Evanciah Ayieni.

Father-in-law to Anne, the late Susan, Metrine, Janet, Caren, Lydia, Mangaa, Prof Mayaka, Machogu and Ayieni.

Korera to the late Monyenye, the late Ondimu, the late Machasio, the late Machogu, the late Onwonga, the late Obonyo, the late Mongoni, the late Onwonga and Mzee Ayieni. Grandfather and great grandfather to many.

Brother to the late Oroni, the late Ombwori, the late Mama Nyanchera, the late Osiri, the late Matara, the late Monda & the late Matagaro.

Brother in law to the late Bosire, the late Omangi, the late Abuga, Omwenga, Ongeri, Ruth, Nyakerario,  Martha, Caren, Nyanchera and Kemunto.

Uncle to the late John, Omwoyo Oroni-Principal, the lace Omwoyo, the late Mongeri.

Semo to Ombati, the late Samuel, Orina and Nyakundi.

Prayers and meetings are held daily at his residence in Masimba-Ramacha, Kisii County.

The cortege leaves Nyangena hospital on Thursday 25th August 2022 for an overnight vigil at his Masimba, Ramacha residence. Burial will take place on Friday 26th August 2022 at his home in Masimba Ramacha.

He fought the good fight, finished his race & kept the faith — 2nd Timothy 4:7
