Mzee Ashira Shikorire

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mzee Ashira Shikorire on 14th October, 2023 at his home in Ebuchero Emung’weso after short illness.

Mzee Ashira was born in the year 1936 to the late Shikorire Omukuba and the late Martha Alukhome of Mulwanda
Location, Shirali Location, Kakamega County. He was brother to the late Eshibukule, the late Omwangale, the
late Omukuba, Ashioya, the late Regina, and the late Eliaro.

He was married to Mrs Emily Wakhu and the late Dorcas Shikobe .

He was a loving father to the late Livingstone Makhotsa, Rumona Shitandi, the late Simon Were, Cornelius Ashira,
the late Joan Alukhome, Beatrice Alukhome, Francis Ashira, Violet Ashira, Peter Ashira and Esther Ashira.

He was blessed with 35 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

The cortege leaves Sonak Mortuary, Khwisero on Thursday 26th October at 11.00am. Mass and funeral
service will be held on Saturday 28 October 2023 from 7.00am at his home in Ebuchero Emung’weso Village,
Khwisero Constituency, Kakamega County.
