It is with deep sorrow that we announce the promotion to glory of Mzee Benard Kitua Kw’onthe, which occurred on Wednesday 30/11/2022 at Rapha Hospital – Makueni at the age of 91 years.

Mzee Kitua was the last born son to the late Kw’onthe Makau and the late Ndinda Makau

Beloved husband to the late Kanyiva, the late Mumbua and Scholastica Wavinya. Father to the late Alice Syokwaa, Benjamin Kituar (Maxicare Guards), Mary Syombua, Esther Muluka, Charles Muthiani (USA), Lilian Ndinda (Premese), Phoebe Nthenya, Josephine Kanini, Francis Makau (Equity Bank), Florence Ndungwa, Collins Mutisya, Fredrick Musau, Elizabeth Kithue, Evaline Mwikali, Faith Mwende and Evans Muema.

Grandfather to Munyiva, Kyuma, Kevin, Karlene, Kioko, Muthini, Ndinda, Mutuku, Job, Emmanuel, Mwende, Morris, Wise, Teddy, Gypsy, Liana, Levin and Samuel among others. He was blessed with 56 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Father-in-law to Jacqueline, Rev. Sketer (USA), Veronica, Josephine, Francis, Julius, Michael, Julius, Jurgen, Joseph,Tom, Mark and Joshua.

Brother to Kavata, Kasiva and the late Munguti, the late Mulwa, and the late Mbatha.

Uncle to Philip, Moses, Peter, Professor Francis Mulwa (Premese Schools), Paul Mulwa (Revelation Hotel), Dr Andrew Mulwa (DMS MoH), Veronica Nthambi (Principal Kithyoko SS), Nzilani, Mutinda, Dr Joachim Mulwa (MoH Mbooni), Purity Mbilu, Serah Gacheru, Peninah Nduku (Makueni L4 Hospital), Joseph Nzomo, Joshua Mutiso, the late Kauma Mussilli, Phyllis Kaluki, Kambona and Pastor Mbatha among others.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home at Machakos on Friday 09/12/2022 at 6:15am for burial at his Kitumbai village home, Mavindini Ward, Makueni County.
