Mzee Christopher Onchiri Isaboke

It is with humble acceptance of God’s divine will that we announce the death of Mzee Christopher Onchiri Isaboke of Nyaituga Bookshop, Keroka which occurred on Wednesday, 7th August 2019 while undergoing treatment at The Nairobi Hospital. He hails from Chironge Village, Kiamokama, Kisii County. He was a long serving educationist and civil servant.

Loving husband of Lucy Moraa Onchiri. Son of the late Martinus Isaboke and Anna Moraa Tundo, the late Gesare, the late Nyanchoka and the late Nyaboke. Father of Salome Onyonka, Moturi Onchiri, Josephine Onchiri-Makori, John Mokandu, Innocent Orenge, Dr. Samuel Onchiri, Roselyne Bonareri, Edna Onchiri and Darius Isaboke. Father-in-law of John Onyonka, Dismas Makori, Lynette, Beatrice, Cynthia and Evelyne. Grandfather of Edward, Ron, Bethany, James, Imani, Christopher, Nyanchoka, Wendy, Gabriella, Emmanuel, Leyla, Tom, Joy, Laban and Anthony. Son-in-law of the late Darius Getanda and the late Bernadette Mogiti.

Brother of the late Nyarangi, the late Basweti, Simeon Nyabicha, the late Gesare, the late Ratemo, Charles Mbera, Kwamboka, Mochache, George Ongori, Abuya, the late George Makori, the late Ongori, the late Sokobe, Omosa, Mogere, the late Laban, Elijah Okindo among others. Korera of the late Borura Akara, Nyatuka Ogito, Bernard Makori, Nicholas Onundu, the late Mathew Ongenchi, Isaac Omwoyo, Nyaboke, Mary, Martha, Robina, Abigael and Susanna among others Nephew of the late Moturi, the late Menge, the late Mwagi, the late Bironga and the late Nyakoboke among others.

Brother-in-law of the late Omuya, Philip, Sabina, Kwamboka, Luduvico, Paskalia among others.

The main fundraiser to offset the hospital bill and funeral expenses will be held on Tuesday, 20th August 2019 at 680 Hotel as from 5:30 pm.

There will be a memorial mass at St. Paul’s Catholic Parish and University of Nairobi Chaplaincy on Wednesday, 21st August 2019 as rom 11:00 am.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Thursday, 22nd August 2019 at 7.00am for his home for overnight stay. Burial will take place at Chironge village, Kiamokama, Kisii County on Friday, 23rd August 2019 from 9:00 am.
