Mzee Francis Gitonga Karanja “Franka”

It is with humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the resting of our beloved Mzee Francis Gitonga Karanja “Franka” Kakamega, which occurred on 13th May, 2019.

Son of the late John Kagai Ng’ang’a and the late Esther Wangui. Husband of Naomi Gitonga. Father of the late Samuel Karanja, Rose Wangui, the late Shadrack Githiaya, the late Ng’ang’a, Elizabeth Nyambura (USA), Anne Wambui (USA), Nancy Wanjiru and the late Samson Mwangi. Also father to Vincent (Kakamega County). Brother of Hannah Waitherero, Benedeta Gathoni, the late Kariuki, Janet Wanjiku Kariuki, Titus Kinyua, Njoki Kagai “Msambweni”, Mwalimu Maina Kagai, “Watuka” Nyeri, Kariuki of Kakamega, Jack “Makomboki” and others.

Father-in-law of Anne Nyambura and Grace Wanjiru. Grandfather of Francis, Keith, Gitonga, “Katosh”, Mwihaki, Stacy, Tiffany and Naomi. Uncle of Julias Mwangi”Julika”, Gachunga “Jowanga” Nakuru, Karanja Museveni “Kanderedu” Bernard Kariuki “Kiki”. Brother-in-law of Patrick Chege Githiaya “Jomba’ Kakamega.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his residence Lurambi and Makomboki “Rural home” for prayers and funeral arrangement.

The burial date will be on Wednesday 22nd in his Rural home Makomboki.
