Mzee James Ondoro Wamiya

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing on of the Wamiya family Patriarch Mzee James Ondoro Wamiya formerly of Kenya Breweries and former Chairman of Abaluhya football club (AFC leopards).

Son of the late Ondoro and Dora Nandwa of Doho. Son-in-law of the late Esau and Phoebe Asimba of Gem Yala. Husband of the late Jane Wamiya. Father of the late Michael, late David, Dickson, Lucy, Eunice, Jacqueline, Nancy, Beryl and the late Wellington. Brother of Joyce Ogore, the late Margaret Misiko, and the late Julius Omamo. Brother-in-law of the late Jennifer Wandolo, David Asimba, Deborah Onyango, Josiah Asimba, Rose Omollo, Dr. Doreen Asimba among others. Father in-law of Peace Makhanu, the late Augustine Ochieng, and Jeff Okallo. Uncle of the Omamos, Otiendes, the Owinos, the Wandolos, the Asimbas among others. Loving grandfather, and great grandfather of many.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Kisumu on 28th February 2020 for funeral service and burial on Sunday 1st March 2020 at his home in Doho, Kisa West, Khwisero, Kakamega County.

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints (Psalm 116:15).

Dad rest in the arms of the LORD. Our soul says, “It is well.” We shall see him again.
