It’s with humble acceptance of God’s will that we the Abamogacho Clan and the family announce the passing on of Mzee and Senior Clan Elder (Omotureti) Omogaka Joel Ombati Mokua of Bomogacho village, Nyamache District, Kisii county at St. Mary’s Hospital Nairobi on 5th Sept, 2017.

Son of the late Mokua Morekwa and the late Lucia Nyanduko. Husband of Esther Onyancha. Father of Zablon, the late Mokano, Ombane (Omwarimu) Margret (Gesima Nyakongo), the late Kerubo, Henry, Rebecca, Grace (Nyamagesa) Miriam (Mwamogesa). Brother of the late Bironga, the late Morekwa, the late Mayaka, the late Nyaboke, Nyamongo Mokua, Kwamboka and Kerubo. Father-in-law of Lydia, Nyabonyi, Lista, Wanja, Rehema and Samwel Ogeto, Moronge, the late Matundura. Uncle of Yunuke, Rebecca, Paul, Nyanchama, Mokano, Isaac, Charles, Ongaga, the late Nyabuto, the late Ombane (Kitiru), the late Peninah, Dorcas, Moranga (DC), Bitutu, Miriam, Gladys, Everlyne, Nyarangi, the late Moraa, Swanya, Hesman, Mokuas and Morekuas, Mbera, Nyamboga, Meshack Nyangara (Chief) Clementia, Mauti. Grandfather of George, Susan, Emmanuel, Nyandukos, Caren, Lilian, Stella, Juliet, Davin, Justin, Trine (USA) Faith, Bon, Triza, Edina, Victor, Bob, Ronah, Mokuas and Magati. Brother-in-law of Bisieri, the late Nyamusi, Magoma (Kionyo) Makendo, lteba, Martin, Osoro. Korera of the late Amboga (Kabosi), the late Oanda (Nyabioto), the late Ondieki (Marani), the late Nyabwari (Nyakongo), the late Ngatia (Karatina – Nyeri), the late Anunda (Nyamagesa) and Mochabo (Botori) Abubakar (Mumias).

Family, relatives and friends are meeting daily at Railways Club, Nairobi from 5 p.m. and at Ontachi Bomogacho home for funeral arrangements. Final fund raising will be held on 12th September , 2017 at home and 13th September, 2017 at Railways Club Nairobi at 5:00 p.m. The cortege leaves the St. Mary’s Hospital mortuary on 14th September, 2017 for burial at Bomagacho / Ontachi, Nyamache District on 15th September, 2017.
