1925-2022

In glory to God for his life, the family announces the resting of Mzee Joseph Ndege Oongo of Masabo village, Gesusu, Nyaribari Masaba, Kisii County after a short illness taken in stride.

Husband to the late Esther Nyang’ara Ndege and Rael Nyamisa Ndege. Father of Tabitha Mosomi, James Nyambane and Alice Nyambane, Lazarus Tonya, Priscah Ndege, Mokeira and Meshack Monda. Simon and Evelyne Ndege, Dismas and Debby Ogwoka, Orpa Masese and Nyarang’o, Naftal Michira and Beatrice, Nyanduko and Nathan, Jared and Monicah, Magati and Esther, Manoah and Margaret, George and Ezna, Ongige and Mercy, Moturi and Milka, Machoka and Lydia.

Brother to the late Pastor Sospeter Mariera and Bathsheba Mong’ina and Obaga Oongo. Brother-in-law to the late Rogito and Chweya Onchweri, Mose, Nyabera, Jelia, Moraa, Nyang’ara, Nyaboke, Teresa, Drusila and late Mokeira.

Cousin to the late Zephania Machoka, Onuong’a, Nyachieo, Sabari and Keari. Grandfather of Frank, Rogers, Omari, Christine, Happiness, Lillian, Handel, Chweya and Fred Machoka, Keari, Elton, Donathan, Machoka, Collins, Nyabate, Obama, Sharon, Mokeira, Lovren, among others.

Fund raiser will take place on Thursday 30th June, 2022 at 5.30pm at Nairobi Central SDA Church (Maxwell), Old Sanctuary.

The Cortege will leave Hema Hospital Mortuary on Sunday, 3rd July, 2022 for his home in Masabo Village for Burial on Monday, 4th July, 2022.

Mzee rested full of years and left a rich legacy. Blessed be the name of the Lord!
