Mzee Kimaru Kimetto (Barng’eny)

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mzee Kimaru Kimetto (Barng’eny) of Kabonnwa – Nandi County.

Son of the late Kimetto arap Chepkochoi of Kapmaraba and the late Elizabeth Cheptoo Langok (Chebo Kapmugen) and Bot Some (Chebo Kapmorito). Brother to Tom Kibor.

Husband to Paulina Chepsoi (Chebo Kapmutugaa), Christine Misoi (Chebo Kaplumdug) and Lilian Sing’oei (Chebo Kapchesang). Father to Justice Luka Kimaru, David, Jane, Kirwa, James, Margaret, the late Kibiego, Monica Chepchumba, Leah Cheptepkeny, Leah Chepkoech, Nixon, Cynthia Chebet, Isaac, Kipchumba, Rachel, Eliud, Monica Chebet, Chebichi, Kiplagat, Moses, Chelagat, Kiprono, Chemutai and Kipngetich.

Son-in-law to Kapmutugaa, Kaplurndug and Kapchesang.

Father-in-law to Viola, Asha, Richard, Rhoda, Joyce, Philip, David, George, Beatrice, Jeniffer, Ruth, Solomon, Caren, Joseph, Winnie, Lydia, Labul, Everlyne, Kiprugut and Emmy. Grandfather to 71 and Great-grandfather to 19.

The cortege leaves White Crescent Hospital in Kapsabet on Thursday 16th March, 2023 at 2.00pm. Prayers will be done at AIC – Kabongwa on Thursday 16th March, 2023 from 3.00pm.

Funeral service will take place at Kapsabet Highlands School in Chepterit Nandi on Friday 17t’h March, 2023 from 9.00am. Thereafter, Interment will be held at his home in Kabongwa Nandi County.
