It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mzee Mathew Otieno Oludhe of Sakwa Bondo, Siaya County, which occurred on 29th March, 2023.

Son of the late Jeremiah Ogwang’ and the late Regina Alando.

Loving husband to Loice Otieno, the late Mama Philister Otieno and the late Judith Akinyi. Father to Aloice Opiti, Thomas Otiebo (USA), Regina Alando, Louise Onyango (USA), Dominic Otieno (USA), Ignatius Otieno, Stephen Otieno, Edgar Otieno, Peter Otieno (USA), Elizabeth Otieno (USA), Alex Otieno (USA), Melvin Otieno (USA), Gaudensiah Otieno (USA) & Juvenshiah Otieno (USA).

Brother to Maurice Oyamo, John Oketch, the late William Kola, Martin Oludhe, the late Teresa Guda, the late Lucia Otonde, Monica Odingo, Sylvester Oludhe, Florence A. Obeto and Rose Owiti.

Respected father-in-law to Susan Litunya, Velma Odinga (USA), the late Dan Owiti, Robert Onyango (USA), Elisha Robinson (USA,. Oliver Odira (USA), and Christine Otieno.

Loving grandfather to Eugene Oludhe, Nigel Otieno, Jasmine Chacha, Ted Oludhe, Derrick Oludhe, Jackline Kidhira, Leornard Odwogi, Nina Atieno, Matthew Onyango. Jeremiah Otieno, Zachariah Otieno,Victoria Otieno and Mathew Oludhe Jr. He was a loving uncle and great-grandfather of many.

The cortege will leave the Star Funeral Home – Kisumu on 21st April, 2023 for an overnight vigil followed by a funeral service and burial at his Sakwa Bondo home on 22nd April, 2023.

Genesis 15:15 “Now as for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried at a good old age.”
