Mzee Mathews Obuo Okendo

It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of Mzee Mathews Obuo Okendo which occurred on Sunday 22nd May, 2022.

He was the son of the late Joab Okendo and Late Teresa Odero. Husband to Jane Alice Obuo. Father to Caren Awuor, Paul Obuo, Martin Obuo, Joyce Achieng, the late Mark Obuo and Naboth Obuo.

Brother to the late Mary Newa, the late Samuel Oguna, the late James Ombima, Dinah Osewe, the late William Ndolo, the late Lorna Auma, Philip Ayoki and Margaret Oketch.

Father-in-Law to Naphtali Omondi, Beatrice Odera, Lilian Okumu-Obuo, Daniel Abuya and Lydia Sanya. He has left behind 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

The cortege leaves Star Mortuary, Kisumu on Friday, 3rd June, 2022 at 2.00 p.m. for his home in Tie Roya Village near Reru Market. Burial will be held on Saturday, 4th June, 2022, starting at 10.00 a.m. at Mzee’s homestead.

A fundraiser to offset expenses will be held at All Saints Cathedral on Tuesday, 31 st May, 2022 from 5.30 p.m. Contributions may be sent to 0745-953-338 Christine Ngwawe). We sincerely thank you for your continued support.
