It is with profound sorrow and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mzee Richard Obiero Ogeto of Omogomba Village, Nyakongo sub location, Kitutu Masaba on 3/9/2022 in Kitale.

Son of the late Mzee Ogeto Kiage and the late Mama Florence Nyaboke.He was loving husband to Teresa Nyaboke Mogusu of Kamulu.

Loving father to Sylvia,Edwin, the late Frankline and Geoffrey. Father in law to Jack Gimona, Edna Ogoti and Everline Onderi. Son in law to the late Francis Mogusu and Hebisiba Mogusu.

Brother to the late George Kiage, Moraa Ombori, Mwebi Ogeto, Salome Onyancha, Rachael Samson, Zawadi Ogeto, Teresia Okong’o, Sorobi Obwoge, Bernard Ogeto, Roseline Okworo and Nyobendo Ogeto. Brother in law to Meshack Mogusu, Mogaka, Martha, Tabitha, Eunice, Elvin, the late Hellen Kiage, Dorica, Bosibori, the late Ombori, Samson, the late Okong’o, Obwoge and Abel.

Nephew to the late Peterson Nyakundi and the late Mosoti among others.

Doting grandfather to Wesley, Ed, Peter, Kelsey, Tamara, Damian, Ashley, Blessing and Lerroy.

Uncle to Justice Patrick Kiage, The Kiages, Omboris, Mwebis, Mokambas, Zawadis, Okong’os,Agasas, Obwoges, Okworos, Nyamwayas, Mogakas, Mogusus among others.

Cousin to the Machokas, Nyakururus and many others.

Friends and family are meeting daily at the Obiero’s residence in Kamulu and at Tumaini House 7th floor on Monday and Wednesday.

The main fundraising is slated for Thursday 15th September 2022 from 5.00 pm at the same venue in Nairobi to offset funeral expenses.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary on Sunday 18th September 2022 for burial at his home in Kamulu.
