It’s with thankful hearts and great gratitude to God that we announce the going home of Mzee Simon Mbati of Fabwiranyi Esitsitni Village, South Bunyore, Luanda, Vihiga County.

Husband to Rosebella Adega, Winfred Beldina Namayi and Fridah Ongachi. Father to Alice and Capt. Elly Aluvale, the late Duncan Otinga and Jane Sabaku and Julia Wesonga, Thomas Oyando and Jennipher Anyona, Samson Akhoko and Jane Anyoso and Salome Olesi, Richard Olao and Magaret Tabitsa, Aggrena Simbe and Alubaka Sangoro, the late Alfred Okoko and Susan Munai and Spencier Mbuluma, Deshon Ojango and Joyce Ojango and Robai Imbugwa, Truphosa Mbati, Harold Okonji, Dorothy Ongoche and Gordon Were.

Grandfather to Dr. Jimmy Aluvale, Capt. Allan Aluvale, Linda Aluvale, Zaneta Aluvale, Franklyne Kweyu, Shadrack Omusinde, Eunice Rodah Oteyo, Winnie Namayi, Robert Wawire, Rev. Samuel Oyando, Ibrahim Atikinya, Floras Mbati, Enos Okoko, Snr. Sergeant Mike Ogai, Trevor Mbati, Jennipher Aswani, Prisca Mandela, Calos Oginga, Roselyn Amwayi, Floridah Pesa and many other beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren as well as great-great-grandchildren.

Family, friends and well wishers are meeting daily at his home for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary – Kisumu on 28th July, 2022 at 9.00am. The funeral and burial service will be held at his home in Ebwiranyi on Friday, 29th July, 2022 , commencing at 9.00am.
