Nelly Wambui Mwangi of Dallas, USA

It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we inform you of the unexpected death of Nelly Wambui Mwangi of Dallas, Texas. She sadly leaves behind her mother, Lucy Waitherero of Thika, her sister, Salome Mwangi of San Francisco and her son,
Christian Kiranga.

Nelly drove herself to the hospital on April 15th, 2018 after experiencing extreme pain throughout her body. She was immediately hospitalized for organ failure. One organ failure eventually led to another organ failure that led to more complications that she eventually could not recover from. She was brave and fought a good fight and held on long enough for her family to come from Kenya and be with her during her last days.

Nelly was a very friendly, loving, confident and strong woman who was full of life and we truly have lost a beautiful person. She passed on May 13th, 2018.

She has left behind a 9 yr old son who will need our continued communal support.

Her family wishes to lay her to rest in Kenya and we are appealing to all family, friends and well-wishers to give a gift of comfort to help with medical, transportation to Kenya and burial costs.

The target is $30,000 and we are confident that we, as a community that cares, will give her the proper send off that she surely deserves.

Dallas Memorial service and fundraiser will be held on Tuesday the 15th of May 2018.
