Nelson Njukia Waweru

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mr. Nelson Njukia Waweru, retired Chief Public Health Officer in the Ministry of Health, that occurred on 6th April, 2021, after a short illness.

Son of late Francis Njukia Waweru and late Beatrice Muthoni Njukia. Beloved husband of Isabella Wangui Waweru. Loving father of Beatrice Muthoni (USA), Francis Njukia, Stephen Githigia and Mary Mumbi. Brother to Beth W. Theuri (UK), James W. Njukia (USA), Charles W. Njukia, Joseph T. Njukia (USA) and the late Stephen K. Njukia. Son-in-law of late Stephen Githigia and the late Mary Mumbi Githigia.

Brother-in-law of Titus GK Theuri (UK), Vicky Wambugu (USA), Anne Wanjohi, Nancy Thungu (USA), Eva Njukia, Kinyua, Wanyutu, Kigotho, Kuria, Njoki, Kigwaini, Warukira (USA) and the late Wanjiku. Uncle of Kaburu (Kaz) Theuri, Njukia Wambugu (USA), Muthoni Wambugu (USA), Christine Wanjohi, Muthonl Thungu (USA), Wangeil Thungu (USA), Njukia Kluri (USA) and Murimi Kiuri.

Family and friends are meeting at his Milimani Estate residence in Nakuru from 5:00pm.

The cortege leaves Unlash Funeral Home – Nakuru, on Friday I 6th April, 2021, at 6:00am or burial at his home in Kaharo Village, Gikondi location, Mukurweini, Nyeri County.
