Retired Educator Nicodemus Mghendi Ludindi’s legacy will outlive his demise. Nicodemus passed away on Friday 17th November, 2023 after a cardiac arrest as he walked home from his favourite sundowner spot. He was 73 years old.

Nicodemus was the son of the late Thomas Ludindi Mwachambi and the late Dorothy Wandoe Ludindi, and the youngest sibling of the late Venant Nyambu, Cecilia Mwadeghu, Boniface Kililo and Fabian Mwanyumba.

He is survived by three siblings; his wife Donantia Mghendi; former wife Beata Mghendi; fourteen children; Grenald Mwandau, Fortunata Marura, Necephor Righa, Martha Fisher, Martin Poisa, Protus Tetwen, Sheillah Wawile, Leonarda Chanya, Mildred Wakesho, Brenda Wandoe, Kevin Mwasaru, Faith Kulola, Gift Mwawasi and Phiona Wawuda; two daughters-in-law; Lilian Righa, and Jenipher Ludindi; four sons-in-law; Peter Kiiru, Martin Fisher, Evans Wawile, and Ken Mwendwa; 14 grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

Nicodemus will be fondly remembered by his immediate and extended family members and hundreds of dear friends across and beyond Kenya.

He will be laid to rest on Saturday 25th November, 2023 at his birthplace and home in Mgange Dawida, TaitaTaveta County, next to his late parents and late children Dorothy Wandoe Mghendi and Thomas Ludindi Mghendi.
