Omong’ina Jemimah Nyareso Ongaki

It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved mother Mama Jemima Nyareso Ongaki on 6th June 2019 at Nairobi West Hospital.

Daughter of the late Mzee Seme and Mama Pacifica Kwarnboka. Wife of Elder Shem Ongaki. Mother of Harun Ongaki, Meijah Ongaki, Tabitha Omwoyo, Rachel Oyaro and Renson Ongaki Sister of Ateka, Nyakundi, Nyambare, Nyamoita, the late Mong’ina, Onkware, Moraa and Carren. Sister-in-law of the late Ogeto, Chweya, Nduko, Ndara and Neko, Nyangari, Ong’uti, Mokaya and Joram among others. Co-wife of the late Bitutu and Chebunga, Peris and Nyaboke, Motugutwa, Hellen, Oinga, Agnes, Kerebi, Ruth among others. Aunt of the Ogeto’s, Chweya’s, Nduko’s, Nyangari’s, Onguti’s, Mokaya’s among others. Mother-in-law of Wilkister, Miriam, Mercy, Hon. Omwoyo, Oyaro and Catherine Korera of the late Motanya, Kombo, Omwoyo and Mundia, as well as Gori. Grandmother and great-grandmother of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily in Nairobi, Kisii and Mombasa for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The main fund raising to defray medical and funeral expenses will take place on the 18th of June, 2019 at Central Church, Maxwell, Old Sanctuary Nairobi from 5.00pm.

A church service will be held at Nairobi South SDA Church on the 19th of June 2019 from 1.00pm The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on Thursday the 20th of June, 2019 at 8 00am for burial on the 21st of June, 20 19 at Rioma Village, Kitutu Chache North Constituency, Mwamonari location, Kisii County.
