Omong’ina Yunes Mokeira Omboi

1921 – 2019

We are saddened to announce the death of Omong’ina Yunes Mokeira Omboi, firstborn daughter of the late Moseti Ombega and Rabera Moseti from Bomomwamu, Boochi Sub-location.

Step-daughter of the late Bosibori Moseti. Daughter-in-law of Ongangi Ondiba and Nyabonyi Ongang’i. Sister of Sibia Boundi and the late Perisia Nyangoya.

Step-sister of Kemunto, the late Nyakerario, Moraa, Nyanchoka, Asoya, late Mauti, Ogega and Peter.

She got married in 1939 to the late Omboi Ong’ang’i and were blessed with 10 children: namely Jeria Kwamboka, Priscilla Moraa, David Ongangi, Charles Kiyondi, Milcah Kemunto, Beatrice Kerubo, Rebecca Nyabonyi, Hellen Bosibori, Japheth Makabe and Evelyne Moraa. Sister-in-law of the late Onguti Ongang’i, the late Rebecca Nyarangi, the late Nyawanga, the late Boundi and the late Nyangoya.

Mother-in-law of the late Nyamora Ombura, the late Ogembo Mbegera, Rael Ongang’i, Margaret Kiyondi, Naftal Oirere, the late Thomas Osoro, Mauti Oroko, the late Elijah Bange,Agnes Makabe and Nyabuti Oeri.

Aunt of Nyandoro, the late Chuma, Ogando, the late Buyaki, Teresa, late Mokeira, the late Nyawanga, the late Ongangi, the late Kemunto, the late Kerubo, the late Kwamboka Onguti, the late Agnes, the late Martin, the late Marucha, the late Kwamboka Onchieku,Teresa, Mose Nyangoya, Moraa,Truphena, Enosh, Ezekiah, the late Peris, Josiah, Charles, Tabitha. Korera of the late Ombura, late Mbegera, the late Nyaisaka, the late Nyandika, the late Oirere, the late Osoro, the late Oroko, the late Bange, the late Obai, the late Oeri.

She had 53 grandchildren, 88 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-children.

Omong’ina Yunes passed away on the morning Tuesday, 17th December 2019 at the age of 98 years.

The main fundraising will be at Bounty Hotel Ngong from 2.00 pm on 29th December 2019.
