It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Oscar Nyerere Magero Gumo. Formerly Commercial Manager, KPA, which occurred on Tuesday 20th June 2023 at Mt. Elgon Hospital, Kitale.

Husband to Silvia Kayitesi Rugina and the Late Millicent Akinyi Rabala. Father to Anthony Pius Gumo iToni), Tanga Maritina, Robert Rabala Magero, Elizabeth Tanga Magero, Michael Otieno Magero and Abraham Kinyange Magero.

Son of the late Pius Gumo and Maritina Tanga Gumo. Also, Son to Mama Marita (Late), Mama Margaret Gumo and Mama Rose (Late). Uncle David Magero and Macmillan Were.

Son-in-law to George Brand (Late), Jane Margaret Brand (UK), Claver Nyirinkwaya Rugina (Late), Elizabeth Rugina (Late), Justin Rugina (Rwanda) and Yozefu Rugina (USA).

Family and friends are meeting daily from 5.00pm at his Nyerere farm located within Kimoso Farm located in Endebess Sub-County,Trans-Nzoia County.

The cortege departs Crystal Cottage Hospital (Kitale) at 12.00pm on Thursday 29th June for St. Pius Catholic Church, Endebess. Mass shall be held starting at 2.00pm. Thereafter, the funeral service shalt take place at his farm (Nyerere Farm, Kimoso) on 30th June 2023 starting at 10.00am.
