Pastor Joseph Mwaniki Karanja

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we wish to announce the passing on to glory of Pastor Joseph Mwaniki Karanja of Faith Assembly Muchungucha that occurred on Wednesday, 3Ist August 2022. Until his demise, he was the Director of Education — Embakasi.

Son of the late John Karanja and Miriam Wambui. Son-in-law of the late Lydia Wacuka of Magutu Karatina.

Loving husband of Esther Nyaguthii (Principal Gathera Sec Sch). Caring father of Miriam Wambui (Office of the Registrar of Political Parties) & Pastor Caleb John, Eva Wacuka & Ephraim Karanja.

Brother of Jane Wairimu, Pastor Benson (Wa Vickie), Mercy Wanjiru, Janet Njeri, the late Patrick Mburu, Paul Ngugi, Joel Maina and Grace Wangari. He was in-law to Rev. Kamau Caleb. Grandfather of Chloe Njeri.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Thika Ngoingwa (Transformer) for prayers and funeral arrangements starting at 6.00pm.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary — Kahawa West on Thursday, 8th September 2022 at 8.30am, followed by a funeral service and burial at his home on Rwathe, Githumu, Murang’a County.
