1954 – 2023

With great sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will, we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved mother and friend, Pastor Naomi Chebii Rotich, which occurred on 19th May, 2023 at Eldoret Hospital.

Daughter of the late Kipriro Arap Chepkoimet and the late Rebecca Chepkoimet of Techoget Location, Kipwastuiyo Sub-location. Mombwo/Sugutek Village.

Wife of Mr Joseph Kimutai arap Rotich. Mother of Linah Chelangat, Julie Chepkemoi, Roseline Chepkorir. Eng. Charles C. Mutai, Caroline Chepkirui and Dr Vincent K. Mutat. Mother-in-law to late Jacob Smolenaars, Henry Langat, Rose Mutai, Lydia Mutai.

Sister to John Korir, Samwel Korir, Grace Koech, Elizabeth Korir. Step-sister of Abraham Korir, Joseph Korir, James Korir, Recho Cheruiyot, Richard Korir, Catherine Kotos and Emily Chepngeno.

Sister-in-law to the late Recho Soi, late Hellen Tirop, John Rotich, late Samwel Rotich, David Rotich, Elizabeth Torongei, late Eunice Chebet, late Peter Rotich, late Elijah Rotich, late Elizabeth Kisache, Esther Sol, Sarah Rona, Grace Barmen, Gladys Korir and Linner Kosgei.

Grandmother to Maureen Chepkemoi, Scott Kipkoech Somalenaars, Diana Cheptoo, Brian Kiprono, Kevin Smolenaarl, Emmaculate Chepkemoi, Gloria Chelangat, Nicole Chebet Smolenaars, Natalie Cherotich, Linsey Cherotich. Debrah Cheoet, Brandon Kibet, Candace Chepchumba and auntie to many.

Funeral preparation meetings are being held daily at the family home, Mombwo/Sugutek Village, Bureti, Kericho County

Fundraising meetings will be held on Wednesday, 24th May, 2023 at the family home and at Dr. Mutai’s residence in NHC, Elgon View Eldoret. Contributions to offset medical bills and funeral costs can be sent to Mpesa Number: 0720897424 (Charles Mutai).

The cortege leaves AIC – Litein Mission Hospital Mortuary on Friday, 26th May, 2023 for an overnight stay at the family home. The funeral Service will be held AIC – Mombwo Local Church on Saturday 27th May 2023, and she will be laid to rest at the home, Mombwo/Sugutek Village, Bureti.
