Patrick Chemweno Chebelieny

We regret to announce the death of Councillor Patrick Chemweno Chebelieny, which occurred on 1st June 2022 at Aga Khan University Hospital.

He was the son of Chebelieny Komen and Maria Tula Kolongei. Brother to William Ruto, Thomas Chebelieny, Sabina Taprandich, Roseline Tabarno, Salina Tolgos, Philister Tabarno, Albina Tula, Angelina Kiplilei, Salina Raphael and Charles Kaino.

He was loving husband to Magdalene Teriki. Father to Wilfred Kosgei, Ronald Kiptoo, David Chumba, Lydia Jepkemoi, Samuel Chemweno, Julie Jepkorir, Edween Kimutai and Kiprotich Chemweno.

He was cousin to John Cheserem, Dominic Yator, Eunice Mutwol, Dr. john Kibosia, Michael Rutto, Dickon Rutto, John Cheruiyot, Michael Chemwetich, Paul Mutang, Martin Chepkiyeng, Willy Kutto, John Kutto, Esther Kutto, Joseph Matei, William Kimoru, Captain Cherono, Joseph Kipsai, Kanda arap Kech among others.

Father in law to Emma Kosgei, Juliana Kiptoo, Jane Chumba, Victor Tuitoek, Ruth Kiplagat, David Kipchumba, Judy Kimutai and Drusclla Kiprotich.

Loving grandfather to Kirsten, Kibet, Kiprop, Kibiwot, Jelimo, Ray, Nathan, Myles, Jerono, Daniella, Kipruto, Jeruto, Leone, Lewis, eptoo, Marion, Elvis, Cheserek, Kimwetich and Kimutai.

The cortege leaves Aga Khan Hospital Mortuary on Friday 10th June 2022 for an overnight stay at home. He will be laid to rest on Saturday 11th June 2022 at home Chebara, Elgeyo Marakwet County.
