It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Retired Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police and Secretary General of NARPOK Patrick Obuong Wandare (ss.) that occurred on Tuesday 16/05/2023 at Nairobi West Hospital, Nairobi.

He was son to the late Gamaliel Wandare Obul and Rev Mother Roselida Aniwen Wandare (Nyar Omondi) of North Gem – Ukaya.

He was beloved Husband to the Late Janet Atieno, Margaret Awiti and Deborah Wandare.

Son in law to Daniel Oduor Kogwang and Margaret Anyiko of Mariwa Ugenya, David and Esther Arua of Sango, and Justice Enock & Janet Aloo of Lambwe.

Nephew to Late Odhone, Msula, Canon Moi, Rev Apollo, Ochieng, Spem, Ogol, Late Benter, Late Soga, Alice, Joyce, Grace and among others.

Father to Late Emily Odhiambo (Night), Late Bob Wandare, Pamela Oyugi, Late Washington Omondi, Martin Odhiambo, Elizabath Achieng, Alice Atieno, Judith Atieno, Samson Wandare, Jobic Onyango, Sofia Achieng, Horace Owiti, Charles Odhone, Rose Akinyi, Eliud Ochola, Esau Walela and Roy Omondi.

Father-in-law to Late George Odhiambo, James Oyugi,Tobias Njoga, Eunice and Late Lilian Omondi, Sharlet Odhiambo, Beatrice Wambasu. Marcy Onyango, Nicolas Lavergne, Maureen Odhone and Lucie Owiti.

There will be a memorial service in Nairobi on 31st May 2023 at ACK St Pauls Church South C next to Moi Educational Primary School.

His body will leave Montezuma Funeral Home on Friday 2nd June 2023 for Gem Ukaya where there will be a memorial service at Holy Trinity Church Maliera. He will be laid to rest on Saturday 3rd June 2023 at his home (Ka-Green) in UkayaVillage, North Gem Location, Siaya County.

There will be a major Harambee on Tuesday 30th May 2023 from 5.00pm at All Saints Cathedral, St Peter’s Hall to defray funeral expenses and arrangements. The contributions can be sent to Paybill Number 247247 Account No 0721389319 Patrick O Wandare (ss.) Funeral Fund.
