It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mr. Paul Thiong’o Waithera that occurred on 11th of Sept 2019, after a long illness bravely borne.

Loving husband of Mrs. Mary Waithera Thiong’o of Nyathuna. Son of Christine Waithera Thiong’o of Thome Estate. Son-in-law of the late Paul Waweru and Hannah Wanjiku of Nyathuna Village. Dedicated and beloved dad of Michael Kelvin Muhindi (DusitD2 Hotel Nairobi), Christine Waithera Thiong’o (NIBS College), Boniface Waweru Thiong’o (King’antua Secondary School), Sarah Njeri Thiong’o and David Gakunga Thiong’o. Brother of David Gakunga Waithera of Multiple Hauliers and Dr Sarah Njeri Deall (King’s College London, UK). Brother-in-law of Catherine Wambui, Mr Francis Joseph Deall (UK), Mr. Peter Gikuhi, Naomi Njeri, among others. Cousin of many. Uncle of Lewis Thiongo Deall and Lizzie Waithera Deall (UK), Emma Gakunga, Small T and others.

Friends and family are meeting daily at his home in Nyathuna, for burial arrangements.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral home on Friday, 20th September, 2019 at 10.00am and thereafter a funeral service and burial will occur at Lang’ata Cemetery, starting from 11.00am.
