Peninah Gakii Mrashui

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mrs. Peninah Gakii Mrashui which occurred on Friday the 20th July 2018 at Mathari Consolata Mission Hospital Nyeri after a short illness. She worked at the National Police Service, Directorate of Criminal Investigations – Kerugoya.

Loving daughter of Mr. Stephen Gikunda (Kamanja) and the late Mrs. Lucy Kagendo of Gatakene Village, South Imenti. Daughter-in-law of the late Amon Mwangura and Grace Mbori Amon. Beloved wife of Mr. Felix Mrashui (ASP) Deputy Director of Music Kenya Police Service Band. Sister-in-law of Peter Mwang’ombe, Mzerah Amon, Simon Mzugha, Gibson Mwamburi, Francis Mwanjala and Rose Mwazi.

Loving mother of Caroline Mueni, Catherine Mumbe, Muasya, Grace Mrashui, Elizabeth Mrashui, Sophy Mrashui, Geshuran Mrasui, Roy Mrashui, Collins Mrashui, Gifford Mrashui, and Declan Mrashui. Sister to Jackim and Nancy Mutwiri, and Patrick Mutuma. Niece of Charlton Murithi – NPS, Director lAU. Joseph Kirimi of Gatakene and others. Cousin.Aunt, Nephews and Nieces of many.

Family, relatives, colleagues and friends are meeting daily at Presidential Escort Unit residence at Highridge – Parklands opposite Diamond Plaza 2.

There will be a funds drive on Wednesday the 25th July 2018 at their residence, followed by a major fund-drive at PCEA St. Andrews Church Nairobi (New Hall Balcony 4) on Thursday the 26th July 2018 starting at 5:00pm to 7:30pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on 27th July 2018 to Kirutai village, Taita -Taveta County.

She will be laid to rest on Saturday the 28th July 2018 at her rural home.
