Peris Cangu Mutunga

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the death of Peris Cangu Mutunga, who left us on 24th May, 2023.

She was the daughter of the late Epanto Marangu and Julia Mukwamugo Epanto.

She was the wife of the late Erastus Mutunga M’Muriithi. Mother to the late Ephantus Gitonga, the late Dickson Miriti, Charles Mutunga (Toronto, Canada), Elizabeth Ntue Mutunga (COMESA, Zambia) and Dr. Nancy Muthoni Mutunga (FEWS NET, ROW). Mother-in-law to Paskwa Mutunga. Grandmother to Michelle Mutunga and Joanne Mutunga.

Sister to the late Dr. Dunstan Ireri, the late Justin Ndiga, the late Faith Marangu, Grace Kangai M’Rithaa, Edith Mutegi and Mary Marangu.

Sister-in-law to late Iruma M’Ragwa, the late Karea M’Muthara, the late Umotho M’Raci, the late Kanyua M’Riungu.

The funeral service will take place at the PCEA Chogoria Church – Tharaka Nithi County, starting at 09.00am on Friday 2nd June, 2023. Thereafter, the burial will take place at the family farm in Iruma.
