Peter Gaku Karunju

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Peter Gaku Karunju on 5th June 2019 after a road accident on 20th May 2019.

Son of the late Stephen Karunju and late Ludia Wanjiku; and the late William Mbugua and late Edith Wanjiru (in laws). Loving husband of the late Rachel Nyambura Gaku. Father of Eric Karunju, Andrew Mbugua, Stephanie Wanjiku, Ivy Wanjiru and Erika Wanjiru: Brother of Mary Njoki, Nancy Mbeca, Hannah Wairimu, John Wambira, Martha Wambui, Eng. Jonathan Njoroge and Mary Nyambura. Brother-in-law of Margret Wanjira, Moses Njuguna, the late Peter Githuku, the late Mary Wanjiku, the lace John Kimani, the late Samuel Ndegwa, Naomi Njoki, Jane Wairimu, the late Bernard Kariuki, Philip Mburu, Francis Nyoike, Florence Wacu, Paul Muhoro, Joyce Njoroge and the late Humphrey Gachanja. Grandfather of Luke, Michael, Jason, Imani, Ethan, Kaylyn and Eliana. Uncle, friend and colleague to many.

Friends and family are meeting at ACK St. Paul Church, Nairobi South C (Opposite Moi Educational Centre) and at their home at Kiawambutu Village, Gatitu, Murang’a County.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday 12th June 2019 at ACK St. Paul Church, Nairobi South C at 4PM.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home (Mbagathi Road) on Friday 14th June 2019 at 8AM and thereafter Funeral Service will take place at ACK St. Barnabas Gatitu Church, followed by the burial at his home in Kiawambutu Village, Gatitu on the same day.
