Born on 14 January 1938, Peter Waititu Gatura (Fathe) passed on peacefully late night on 6 January 2019, while receiving emergency care at The Outspan Hospital, Nyeri. Preceeded in death by his loving wife, Late Alice Barbara Kuthii Waititu.

Son of the Late Joseph Gatura and Late Leah Mumbi. Doting Father of Joseph Gatura and Isha Wambui, Adrianne Mumbi, Charles Muthee (formerly Postal Corporation Nyeri), Christine Wambui and Benson Githumbi (USA), Ann Njoki (formerly of Broil Kenya Ltd) and Gerald Muigai, Jennifer Muthoni (Anjarwalla and Khanna) and Fenton Otieno. Grandfather of Eric, Khadija, Andrew, Tracy, Brian, Hazel, Kayla, Juliet, Regina, Elaine, Tamara and Ramona.

Funeral arrangement meeting will be held on Monday, 14 January 2019, at Norwich Union House at 5pm.

A fundraising will be held on Tuesday, 15 January 2019, at All Saints Cathedral starting at 5pm.

The Cortege leaves Nyeri Funeral Home next to Outspan Hospital on Friday, 18 January 2019, at 8.00am followed by a burial service at his farm in Waraza jet, Munyu, Nyeri
