We are saddened to announce the sudden death of Philip Barare Oburu, which occurred on 6′ May 2023.

Son to the late Oburu Nyariki and Kerubo Oburu.

Husband to Esther Nyanduko Barare and Alice Mbone Barare. Father to Caesar Oburu, the late Emmanuel Momanyi, Gladwell, Merriment, the late Aristotle, Eric, Nelly, Dolphine & Hildah.

Grandfather to Hafsa Michooki, Elvis Kaka, Imani Bitutu, Natasha Mawia, Ndaya Kerebi, Nyariki Makhaaya, Philip Ngare, Kennedy Mwenda, the late Griffins, Lavy Kerubo, Virginia Nyasuguta, Eugene, Purity, Diana, Vivian, Lucky, EIIah, Trevi, Sherlin, Malachi, Trizah & Rayden. Great-grandfather to Emamanuel and Briden.

Brother to the late Ogeto, the late Misaro, the late Nyakerario, the late Mokua, the late Ong’era, the late Onano, the late Nyabiage, the late Nyanchama, Nyariki, Asande, the late Ouro, Riechi and Ogechi.

Son-in-law to the late Mr & Mrs Momanyi Nyameino, and the late Mr & Mrs Siahi. Brother-in-law to the late Omwoyo, the late Onwongia, the late Abincha, Bernard Siahi & Others.

Semo to Ogaro Ombura, Jeremiah Moturi, Zablon Nyabero, Erick Indeje, and Raban. Cousin to the Ndinyas, the Nyagakas, the Aramas, the Nyandiekas, the Okong’os, the Kimoris, the Otworis, the Nyanchong’is and many others from the larger clan of Mwamokua.

Uncle to the Ogetos, the Ombworis, the Nyangokas, the Mokuas, the Ong’eras, the Onanos, the Nyarikis, the Asandesm and many others of the Mw’Oburu Clan.

The burial arrangement meetings are going on at Nairobi (Nyambene House, 2nd Floor) and at his homes in Mogusii Settlement Scheme and Igenaitambe.

The cortege leaves Ibara Funeral Home – Kebirigo, on 18th May, 2023 for burial at his Mogusii Farm, in Borabu Sub-county, Nyamira County, on Friday, 19th May, 2023.
