Prof. Felix Gitonga Mwambia

25th December, 1951 — 13th February, 2023

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Prof. Felix Gitonga Mwambia, that occurred on 13th February, 2023 after a short illness.

Prof. Mwambia is son to Mwambia Mwarania and the late Georgina Tira Mwambia.

Loving husband to Dorothy Gatiria Gitonga. Father to Frank Mwiti Gitonga, Janet Karimi Gitonga, the late Daisy Karimi Gitonga and Kelvin Mwenda Gitonga. Grandfather to Hailey Mwendwa, Ellah Kawira, Jasmine Minoo and Leila Nkatha.

Brother to Rose Muthaga Muthaura, Jane Muthoni Mwambia, Daniel Kimathi Mwambia, Kathambi Mwambia, Mwari M. Mugambi, Jane Kananu Ngumii, David Guantai Mwambia and Koome Mwambia.

Brother-in–law to Amb. Francis Muthaura, Joyce Kimathi, Walter Ngumii, Ruth Guantai and Eunice Koome. Cousin and an Uncle to many.

Family and Friends will be meeting at All Saints Cathedral at 5.00pm from Thursday 16th February to Monday 20th February,2023 (the Weekend Excluded).

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University Memorial Funeral Home at 6.00am on Thursday 23rd February, 2023 for Prof. Mwambia’s burial at his Farm in Gakurine, Meru County.
