11th March 1952 to 10th March 2019

It is now lour years since that fateful day that we would have liked to wish away From our Lives. We take solace in the knowledge that your gentle soul went to be with the Lord.

We feel your presence each passing day and will cling to your sweet memories as we continue to live with our deep grief and sorrow. We celebrate the selfless care that you took For everyone in your large circle of family and Friends.

Fondly remembered and missed by your loving husband J. S., your children Christine & Steve, Stella, and Anabel, grandchildren Jeremy, Jasmine, Jaida, Wangari, and Wairimu, your brothers Elijah and Mike together with their families, your extended Family and friends, In-Laws, your working colleagues and students at KU, and everyone who was acquainted with you.

There will be a memorial service in honour of our beloved Agnes at Kiangunyi Girls High School, Kangema, on 11th March 2023, starting at 10.00 am, Followed by the opening of The Prof. Agnes Mary Wangari Gathumbi Memorial Library that has been built in her honour at the school.
