Professor Samson Wokabi Mwangi

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Professor Samson Wokabi Mwangi of Egerton University on 23ra July, 2023.

He was husband to Beth Wangari Wokabi of Nazarene University. Father to Brian Mwangi and Leah Munjiru Wokabi.

Son of the late Stanley & Leah Munjiru Mwangi of Mariaini village, Mugoiri, Muranga County. Son-in-law of the late James Waithaka and Tabitha Mugure.

He was brother to Elizabeth & John Ngamate, Perpetua and the late Jackson Thuo, Lucy & Macharia Mwangi, Susan & Jason Njoroge, Tabitha & Peter Kariithi, Esther & Rev. Francis Kimata and Gladys Psalmist.

Uncle to Mwangi Ngamate, Kuria Ngamate, Joyce Githiomi, Wokabi Thuo, Munjiru Macharia, Ngubia Macharia, Kanyi Njoroge, Mwangi Njoroge, Paul Maina, Janet Wanjiru, Kimata Ndungu, Stanley Mwangi, Berny among others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his residence in Ongata Rongai, Ole Sayaya road next to Olerai Primary School for prayers and funeral arrangements, starting at 5.00pm.

The cortege will leave K.U Funeral Parlour on Tuesday, 1st August, 2023 at 8.00am. The Funeral Service will be held at Kiawambeu Primary School grounds at 11.00am, followed by burial at his Kiawambeu Farm, Gikondi Location, Muranga County at 2.00pm.
