RACHEL WANJIKU KIHARA-BLUM

We regret to announce the passing on of a strong, generous woman. A truly beautiful soul, who peacefully passed away while undergoing treatment in a hospital in Frankfurt, Germany.

Rachel was the loving wife of Werner Blum. Doting mother to John and Tereza Waiganjo, Victor and Ciku Njuguna, and Wacu Kihara. Adoring grandmother to Kihara, Ngigi and Melissa, Njuguna and Kaisha, Paul, Tierra, Zawadi, Riziki and Lucca. Cherished sister of the late William Kagwe, James Gathuri, Amon Njathi, late Daniel Njuguna, Nahashon Itati, Gladwell Maluki, and Penny Kalinga.

Funeral arrangements are ongoing at All Saints Cathedral from Wednesday to Friday from 5:30-8:00 pm, and Saturday 2:00-4:00 pm. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, 6th August, at A.C.K St. Francis church, Karen, at 3.00 pm. and in Mombasa ACK St.Peter’s Church Nyali on Friday 11th August at 4:00 pm. Cremation and memorial service will be held in Frankfurt, Germany on 11th August. Internment of Rachel’s remains will be held at a later date and place to be announced.
